Lesson: Checking your progress

Checking Progress & Preview / Publish
It’s a good idea to keep an eye on how things look on the website while you go using the “Preview” tab at the top. Use the “preview in new tab” to leave your lesson open for editing so you can easily switch back to make more changes.

Once you have built your lesson and you’re happy with everything then click the blue “Update” button up top right. For some reason you seem to have to press this twice…..
*Note that if you didn’t already publish your lesson before this button will say “Publish”.

When you have published a lesson, you will press “Update” to save any more future edits or changes you make. Or you can unpublish it and use the “Switch to draft” option. Or delete it if not required.

Switching back to wordpress / courses / lessons
When creating or editing a lesson or course, you can switch back to the wordpress dashboard by clicking the black “W” icon in the very top left corner.

Congratulations – High fives all round – youv’e now created your first course, added a bunch of Modules and lessons to it, and now you’ve got a lesson with all its content.

All you have to do now is repeat the process, adding the content to all your other empty lessons!

If you’ve done it right, you should be able to view your course (wp admin dashboard / Sensei LMs, click “Courses” and “View” your new course.

With a bit of luck, it should look something like the course map you started with at the very beginning……..

Now all that’s left is to turn your course into a “Product”, make it available on the website, give it a price and start selling it! But that’s for another Module 🙂
